If you are an experienced GUE diver thinking about becoming a GUE Instructor, the GUE Instructor Training Course (ITC) is your first big step towards realising your goal.

The ITC is a seven day intensive mentoring program run by experienced GUE instructor trainers and evaluators. The course is designed to help newly-qualified GUE instructor interns to develop their teaching skills as they work towards becoming instructors for GUE. This course teaches you how to teach... GUE-style.

Combining academics, field drills and in-water exercises, candidates will be able to work with their instructor trainers over consecutive days allowing for uninterrupted practise, feedback and improvement. During the course, candidates will also learn how to enhance their time management when teaching classes, how to grade and evaluate students and how to brief/debrief students and give specific feedback.

Working with more than one instructor trainer means benefitting from their combined personal diving and teaching experiences. In a group format, candidates will enjoy more opportunities to learn from each others' mistakes and successes as well as their own, whilst building friendships and professional contacts along the way within GUE's global community.

The next GUE ITC is scheduled to take place in 2024. Each course has a total of 8 spots available. Candidates pay a deposit of AUD$2,000 to reserve their spot on the course with the balance payable on or before day one of the class.
