Project Shark Expedition

The Egyptian Red Sea stands as one of the Seven Wonders of the Underwater World, showcasing an extraordinarily diverse ecosystem. Here you will encounter a stunning array of marine life, including 44 distinct shark species. The Project Shark Expedition takes us to breathtaking drop offs and reefs in search of schooling hammerheads, oceanic whitetip sharks, and the elusive thresher shark, inhabiting the depths of the Red Sea. This is truly a trip to remember.


Embark on an unforgettable liveaboard adventure in the Red Sea aboard the Blue Horizon. With a focus on the renowned marine parks of Daedalus, Elphinstone, and Brothers, this journey beckons adventurous divers to explore a host of jaw-dropping underwater scenes on some of the most incredible reefs in the world. In addition, this expedition focuses on diving amongst the thousands of pelagic and reef species resident in the Red Sea.

The itinerary includes a trip to the Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Chepos, and the Great Sphinx. There is also a possibility of two additional days in Luxor to visit the Valley of the Kings and Hatsheput that can be added on to your trip.

$2,995 AUD per person includes:

  • 1 Night TWIN | DOUBLE share accommodation in Cairo
  • Cairo sightseeing tour - visiting Giza Pyramids, Saqqara, the Pyramid of Cheops, and the Great Sphinx - private guide, service charges and taxes
  • Domestic flight to Port Ghalib and all transfers
  • 7 Nights TWIN | DOUBLE share cabin aboard MV Blue Horizon
  • 6 days diving - up to 4 dives per day
