Course Details
During Dive Centre Bondi's IDC training, you’ll build upon your skills as a divemaster or certified assistant while also developing your public speaking and teaching skills. You will also hone your in-water skills to demonstration-ready levels, and learn how to properly evaluate in-water skills performed by student divers.

You'll receive PADI eLearning, your PADI Instructor Development Crewpack, confined water training, open water training, transportation (if required), and your PADI fees. Plus, we offer EFR Instructor courses as part of the IDC program.
In addition, we’ve implemented all of PADI’s latest digital tools into our IDC and have created our own support materials. For example, extra demonstration videos, dive theory study materials, presentation examples, resume samples and skills videos. These materials were made by us and are available to you for free on a laptop or tablet.
But our commitment to your success doesn't end when the course does. After completing the IDC program, you'll be ready to start working as an instructor and take advantage of our FREE training dives for life. Equipment
All equipment is included in the course cost with the exception of mask, snorkel, boots, fins and safety equipment. Safety equipment includes wetnotes or a slate, a surface marker buoy (SMB) & spool, and a cutting tool or dive knife. These are all personal items and for comfort, hygiene and safety reasons we find students prefer to have their own. At the Instructor level, we recommended candidates own these items.

Prerequisites
- The minimum age to enrol in a PADI Instructor Deveolment Course is 18 years old.
- Be certified as a PADI Divemaster , or hold an equivalent certification from another recognised certification agency.
- Have completed a First Aid Course with CPR in the last 24 months with a recognised authority.
- Have at least 100 logged scuba dives.
- You must be cleared as medically fit to dive by completing a Medical Statement prior to your course starting. Please ensure you complete and have this signed by a doctor before the start of your course.
