Explore More with the PADI DPV Specialty Course!

The PADI DPV Specialty Course is your gateway to exploring more of the underwater world with less effort. This course includes a short theory session covering DPV features, benefits, maintenance, safety, and dive planning, followed by hands-on in-water training to master DPV operation, underwater navigation, buoyancy control, and emergency procedures.

The course includes your PADI eLearning, two open water dives using a DPV, transportation (if required), and your PADI DPV Diver Certification.

After successfully completing your training dives, you will become a certified PADI DPV Diver! Plus, you’ll be qualified to rent our Suex DPVs for your future underwater adventures.

Course Details

The PADI Drysuit Diver Course consists of a short theory session covering drysuit features and benefits, selection, care and management; followed by practical in-water training to practice donning procedures, proper weighting, balance, buoyancy control, accident prevention and emergency skills.

The course includes your PADI eLearning,confined water training, shore dives, transportation (if required) andyour PADI Drysuit Diver Certification.

After successful completion of your training dives you will become a certified PADI Drysuit Diver!

Theory

Complete your eLearning at home before your course.

Practical Workshop

8am to 5pm. Course introduction and theory at Dive Centre Bondi, followed by two open water dives using a DPV.

Equipment

All necessary equipment for the PADI DPV Specialty Course is included, except for personal items such as mask, snorkel, and fins. For comfort, hygiene, and safety reasons, we recommend that students use their own gear. Our professional staff are available to help you select equipment that fits and suits your needs. Alternatively, these items can be rented for $25 ($15 for mask, snorkel, fins). As a Dive Centre Bondi student, you’ll also receive a 10% discount on all in-store purchases! (excluding certain brands, such as Santi and Suex).

Prerequisites

  • The minimum age to participate is 12 years old (a parent's or guardian's consent is required for participants under 18 years old.)
  • Be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, or hold an equivalent certification from another recognised certification agency.
  • You must be cleared as medically fit to dive by completing a Medical Statement prior to your course starting. If any questions are flagged as "Yes" you need to gain medical clearance from a doctor. Please ensure you complete this Medical Statement before the start of your course.
